Service Description
Debate Summer Bootcamp is designed for students in Grades 3–5 who are ready to strengthen their speaking skills while learning how to think critically, respond to ideas, and communicate with confidence. This camp introduces students to debate in a fun, supportive, and age-appropriate way, helping them learn how to share opinions, support their ideas, and speak persuasively. It is a great option for students who enjoy discussion, want to build confidence, or are curious about speech and debate. Students will receive 15 total hours of instruction, allowing them to build real skills over the course of the camp. Throughout the program, students will practice organizing arguments, listening carefully, responding thoughtfully, and speaking with clarity and confidence. Through structured activities, guided debate exercises, and supportive coaching, students will improve not only as speakers, but also as thinkers who can communicate their ideas more effectively. At the end of the camp, students will be offered the opportunity to compete at a tournament where they can apply what they have learned in a meaningful and exciting setting. This gives students a chance to gain experience while celebrating the progress they have made throughout the camp. Parents are welcome to register for one or more camps, since each camp will be uniquely different and offer students a new experience, fresh material, and additional opportunities to keep growing.
