Designed just for our youngest communicators, this yearlong in-person class helps students in grades K–2 explore their voices in a supportive, playful environment. Through storytelling, performance games, and creative expression, kids learn the building blocks of public speaking—without the pressure of competition. Our goal is to build confidence, spark imagination, and foster a love of speaking early on. Students showcase their growth during two exciting performance days, held mid-year and at the end of the program. It’s the perfect foundation for future forensics stars!

Our middle school program offers a deeper, more dynamic exploration of competitive speech and debate. Students in grades 6–8 train across six events—Impromptu, SPAR Debate, Declamation, Informative Speaking, Original Oratory, and Storytelling—while developing advanced communication, argumentation, and performance skills. With 2-hour weekly sessions, tournament preparation, and our signature Challenge Weeks, students are pushed to grow as speakers and thinkers in a supportive and fun environment. Whether they’re brand new or ready to level up, this club helps students speak with clarity, lead with confidence, and shine on stage and beyond.
Each student in our program will receive hands-on experience in six foundational speech and debate events:
-
A fast-paced event where students think on their feet and speak without preparation.
Impromptu is one of the most exciting and valuable events we offer. Students receive a random topic and have just a few moments to organize their thoughts before delivering a short, structured speech. It’s a powerful way to build confidence, quick thinking, and clarity under pressure. At Forensics Forever, we guide students through proven frameworks to help them stay organized and calm—even when they're making it up on the spot. Students grow into sharp, adaptable thinkers who can speak off the cuff in any situation, from class presentations to real-life conversations.
-
A quick, back-and-forth style debate that emphasizes persuasive speaking and rebuttal.
SPAR Debate is perfect for students who love fast, spirited discussions. Two students face off in a timed debate on a surprise topic, learning to listen carefully, respond strategically, and speak persuasively. It’s all about developing argument structure, critical thinking, and respectful disagreement. Our coaches teach students how to make strong points, spot logical flaws, and maintain composure during rapid exchanges. SPAR helps students build poise and presence in high-pressure moments—skills they’ll use in class, college interviews, and beyond.
-
Performing a published speech with powerful delivery and clarity.
In Declamation, students choose a published speech—such as a TED Talk, commencement speech, or famous address—and perform it with purpose and passion. This event teaches voice control, pacing, and expressive delivery while helping students understand how to connect with an audience. At Forensics Forever, we help students select powerful, age-appropriate pieces and coach them to bring the words to life as if they were their own. It’s a fantastic way to practice emotional intelligence, empathy, and public presence while honoring great thinkers.
-
A researched, original speech that educates the audience on a specific topic.
Informative Speaking is all about teaching through storytelling, facts, and visuals. Students create their own 5-minute speech to explain a topic they care about—from scientific discoveries to cultural trends. Our program walks them through how to conduct research, organize information, and use visual aids like posters or slides to support their message. We focus on making complex ideas easy to understand while keeping the audience engaged. Students learn to simplify, clarify, and educate with confidence—skills that are useful in school and life.
-
A persuasive, student-written speech on a meaningful topic.
In Original Oratory, students write and deliver a speech designed to inspire, persuade, or provoke thought. Topics range from social issues to personal experiences—and students learn to develop a clear thesis, support it with arguments, and deliver it with power. This event teaches structure, logic, and emotional appeal, helping students find their voice on topics they care about. At Forensics Forever, we support students in brainstorming, outlining, editing, and rehearsing so they can turn ideas into action. It’s where student voices are truly amplified.
-
Bringing stories to life through performance and character work.
Storytelling is a joyful, performance-based event where students share a narrative—often a children’s book or folk tale—by acting out the story using only their voice, facial expressions, and body language. It’s especially great for younger speakers, encouraging creativity and confidence without memorization or props. Our coaches teach students how to paint pictures with their words, shift between characters, and keep their audience engaged from beginning to end. It’s perfect for building stage presence, imagination, and expressive communication.
These events teach students how to think fast, speak clearly, and connect with an audience.
Learning Meets Creativity: Challenge Weeks
Challenge Weeks are special themed weeks where students complete fun, skill-based assignments—like writing a “Mom-ologue” for Mother’s Day or giving a “Fearless Speech” during Halloween. These occur 8 times throughout the year and complement regular classes.
